Whistler Blackcomb Open with Most Terrain in North America
Thursday, November 22 marked the official launch of Whistler Blackcomb’s 2007/2008 winter season, with Blackcomb Mountain opening and operations increasing on Whistler Mountain. On Saturday, November 24, Whistler Blackcomb’s terrain offering will increase to more than 5,000 acres and 3,600 vertical feet – the most terrain open in North America.
Whistler Mountain opened a week early on November 17 and the ski conditions have been fantastic all week with bluebird skies and cold temperatures. The base is currently 95 cm (37 inches). Snowmaking operations have also been in full effect on both mountains and the long-range forecast is calling for another snow cycle later this weekend.
