Indoor Composting

Composting during the cold Winter season can be a pain. It's cold, it's wet, and your dressed like you're about to go skiing. Sludging around through your outdoor compost is the last thing you want to be doing; but you know inside it needs to be done. But why compost outdoors, when you can start your own indoors compost. 

There are 2 routes you can take when it comes to indoor composting: with bugs or without bugs. If you don't mind a few little critters inside the house, in your compost of course, then the former may be your choice. It's also a lot cheaper to work with the bugs, but I'll go into that a bit later when I bring up the 'without bugs' method.

But you will notice that the author expresses the need to use red worms. This method is quite productful, and if you follow her instructions you're almost guaranteed a healthy compost in months. One downfall I felt when managing this type of compost was the need to cater to the bugs. But if you're a bug lover, this style of indoor composting may be the perfect fit.

Without Bugs
