Go for a Coffee in the Whistler Village

 

  • Go ahead, get out of the house and stroll down to the village for a hot coffee or hot chocolate (or whatever drink suits your mood). Grab your drink of choice, sit inside the shop, or on the patio. Read a paper or write a postcard. The time is write. Here's a list of coffee shops you can can check out...

Base II on Blackcomb Mountain is a large paved area surrounded by Whistler Blackcomb operated buildings. There is a tube park located at Base II known as the Coca-Cola Tube Park which offers great fun for the visitors In the summer, the Tube Park location is an ideal location for outdoor music events or festivals.

No tides, no currents, or sharp rocks here, just crystal clean mountain fresh water. Believe it or not, Whistler has several places to swim. Lakeside Park is located on Lakeside Road, where you'll find a small beach, kids play area, picnic tables, barbecues, and a concession renting canoes during the summer. Rainbow Park is located on the west side of Whistler Valley and is a pleasant 20-minute bike ride along the Valley Trail from the Village. It is well worth the time to get there! Just off Alta Lake Road, Rainbow Park has lots of space and was originally the site of the historical Rainbow Lodge built by Whistler pioneer lady Myrtle Philip. If you decide to drive to Rainbow Park, there is ample parking but it may take you the same amount of time to drive as it will to bike! Lastly, Wayside Park has a small beach with kayak rentals, barbecues, and picnic tables and is also located on the shores of Alta Lake. It is close to the Creekside neighborhood of Whistler, has p! arking and is also accessible by the Valley Trail

Lakeside Park is the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon swimming and catching up on summer reading. The beaches are soft and sandy and the water is warm, crystal clear and wave free. It's a great place to have a picnic and has tables and barbeque pits for your convenience. There is a children's play area and places to rent boats and kayaks. Be aware that there is no life guard on duty and if you're thinking about taking a pet you should check the regulations and restrictions.

Rainbow Park is located on the west side of Whistler Valley and is a pleasant 20-minute bike ride along the Valley Trail from the Village. Just off Alta Lake Road, Rainbow Park was originally the site of the historical Rainbow Lodge built by Whistler pioneer Myrtle Philip. Rainbow Park has a sandy beach and shallow waters, perfect for kids and families. There's lots of grassy open space with picnic tables, outdoor barbecues, shaded areas, and volleyball courts. There are also vending machines, a concession stand, and washrooms for your convenience. If you decide to drive to Rainbow Park, there is ample parking, but it may take you the same amount of time to drive as it will to bike!

Bungee jumping is one of the most popular and talked-about Whistler activities all year long.     Whistler Blackcomb is a world-class resort offering exhilarating outdoor adventures and activities year round.
